The standard
The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. It is not certified, and I do not claim full conformance: it has been tested as described below, and problems are fixed as they are found.
How it was tested
- Every page checked with the axe accessibility engine at phone and desktop widths.
- Lighthouse accessibility audits on each type of page.
- Keyboard-only use: skip link, menu, filters, testimonial controls, the contact form and the cookie choice.
- Colour contrast of text, links, buttons and focus outlines checked against the AA ratios.
- Text zoom to 200% and narrow screens down to 320 pixels wide, with no sideways scrolling.
- Reduced-motion settings respected: the rotating testimonials stop and transitions are removed.
Known limitations
- Testing was done in Chromium. Safari and Firefox were not tested with a screen reader.
- No testing has yet been done with disabled users.
